Eligibility Criteria

1. The first and fundamental requirement is that the students opting for this PhD. must have a master's degree in Engineering.
2. Although there is no restriction on the specialization in engineering, students from mechanical, civil, chemical or computer and information science engineering will benefit the most from this course.
3. The students must possess a minimum of 60% in the aggregate of their master's course to be eligible to apply. Some institutes offer a scholarship to such PhD. students. One such famous scholarship is Visweswaraya scholarship. If you are applying for such a scholarship too, then you require a minimum of 70% marks in the master's degree.
4. The students who are selected based on their aggregate score will be called for an entrance examination. The students must clear this examination to be eligible for the subsequent interview.
5. If you clear the personal interview after this entrance test, then you will be assigned a guide who will mentor you for the entire PhD. course.
