Overview

Disability studies concerns with studying disabilities, as a social and cultural phenomenon. Eligibility and course duration

A post graduate degree in disability studies or other relevant fields such as sociology, psychology, history, economics, anthropology, gender studies, nutrition, health services, childhood studies and so on. Admissions are based on aptitude tests and personal interview. Prior academic performances as well as work experience if any in the field of disabilities is also taken into consideration. Others with bachelor's degree with relevant academic as well as work experience too may apply.

Duration of the program ranges 3-5 years.

The first year of the program primarily focuses on coursework and the subsequent years are purely for research. Scope of disability studies
