Eligibility Criteria

1. The students who wish to pursue this research oriented course should pass a master's degree in arts stream. The students who have completed their master's degree in Greek Literature or Comparative Literature or Linguistics will find this course highly beneficial.
2. There is no restriction regarding the marks to be obtained in the master's degree. The application forms are screened merit basis. The higher you score, the higher are your chances to be selected for the entrance examination.
3. The students pass the entrance examination will be called for the subsequent round of interview. The syllabus of the entrance examination is restricted to the master degree level in Greek language and literature. All those students who successfully clear the interview, will be given a chance to study this course.

Future Job Scenario

1. You can become an assistant professor in Greek language in any arts college. After around 10 years of experience, you will be promoted to the position of Associate Professor. Then finally, you will become a professor in Greek Language.
2. You can also apply for teaching Greek in universities abroad. In this case, you would require an experience of teaching Greek in India. This can be fulfilled by the above mentioned job.
