Introduction
Mining Machinery Engineering is a course that includes various aspects of mining engineering like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, coal and non-coal sectors, various mining and construction machinery, etc. Master of Technology or M.Tech is a post Graduation level course which deals with the study of the mining industry, related technology, coal and non-coal sectors and many other related things.
Candidates currently working in the mining industry and want to improve their knowledge and skills in the same are suitable for this course. It is not available through correspondence as it requires some experiments, lab, and practical sessions to have a better understanding but professionals can go for part-time mode. Not all, but some institutes are offering it in part-time mode also.
Further Study options
After completion of this course, candidates can enroll in Ph.D. or Doctor of Philosophy in Mining Machinery Engineering or any other related subject. This will allow you to conduct your own research and to work on scientific projects.

Admissions are offered through screening based on the performance of candidates in entrance examinations. These can be national level tests like GATE, state level or institute level and a single candidate can participate in any or all of them as per his or her suitability.
