Course Details:

This two year course comprises of class work, project and may be also an internship (depends on the university curriculum). The candidates are expected to study various core and elective subjects including Advances in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Automotive Electronics, Vehicle Dynamics etc. and Hydraulic& Pneumatic system, Transmission System Theory & Design, Simulation of IC Engines etc. in the first year. The course curriculum and projects focus on the currents concerns of pollution and fuel efficiency which is the need of the hour. In the second year the students carry out an exhaustive project which could be some R&D activity, or building of a prototype or a model. Overall the course enables the candidate to understand the depth of principles, technology , advances and innovation in engine operation in automobile systems.

Job opportunities:

Automobile sector is growing and there are ample job opportunities in this sector. Automobile manufacturing industries like TELCO, L & T, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto etc. and government sector defence and R&D labs employ automotive engineering post graduates.
