Introduction
Master of Engineering or M.E. is a postgraduate course in the field of engineering. The field of CAD or Computer Aided Design is dedicated to designing of equipment related to the field of engineering. It can be an architectural design, interior design, landscape design, mechanical design, civil related design, industrial plant design, textile design, electronic circuit design and many more. CAM or Computer Aided Manufacturing is again a computer-based software tool which helps the engineers and machinists in prototyping or manufacturing different components. CAM and CAD are interdependent and CAM is a programming tool which enables the engineers to manufacture the physical models based on CAD programs.
Duration
The duration of this course is 2 years which is equivalent to 4 semesters. Each semester is having 6 months duration.
Further Study options
After this course, candidates can pursue Ph.D. in Control systems, CAD/CAM, Microwave communication, computer science and Engineering, computational linguistics or other related subjects.
Eligibility
Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or any other equivalent course with specialization in Petrochemical engineering, chemical engineering, etc are accepted for this course. The graduation must be pursued from a reputed institute and candidates must have secured 60% marks o become eligible for this course.
