Special education
Special needs education or simply special education, deals with the education of those students for whom the teaching procedures are to be individually planned and monitored systematically. After doing a B.Ed. course in special education an educator is able to provide the special needs students with a higher level of self-sufficiency in their learning and day to day living. Without the need based education, life for these students would be way away from normal. B.Ed. in Special Education is available in following specializations; mental retardation, hearing impairment, visual impairment, learning disability, multiple disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
Eligibility
The minimum qualification required is a pass in B.A./B.Sc. or any other equivalent degree. Some colleges require a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying exam.
Duration
It's a full time two year undergraduate degree course.
