Job Opportunities An architect registered with the COA and holding a B.Arch. (Interior Design) degree can start practising or doing a job. There are many small agencies who recruit freshers out of B.Arch. (Interior Design) colleges and give them good exposure to interior design projects. It is advisable to gain work exposure this way for atleast couple of years and then a person can become an independent architect (in interior design) and form his/her own team. The salary for a interior design architect fresher starts from around Rs.1 lakh per annum, and increases gradually over a period of time. An independent interior design architect can earn more than Rs.6-8 lakh per annum by doing multiple interior space design projects in a year. An interior design architect who can turn available interior space into an eye-pleasing effective area by making use of every inch of space can earn huge amount of money on a project to project basis. Professional interior designers are always required in today's age as people easily get impressed by look and feel of shops, malls, corporate offices, agencies, houses, etc. and also because of scarcity of space.
