Eligibility:
Minimum eligibility is SSC passing and working knowledge of English and aptitude of art and jewellery design.
Admission criteria:
Based on batch schedule. Graduates who have an aptitude of design also take admission to this course and then set up their own start up.
Course overview:
The main objective of this course is to impart the candidate with basic skills of sketching and rendering jewellery in an aesthetic and innovative manner. The skills imparted will enable the candidate to present their jewellery designs to the client, artisans or to the product development department.
Course Details:
This is a preliminary design course of 120 hours duration which covers the basic concepts of jewellery design, form development and design applications, orthographic projections, and various rendering techniques and presentation of jewellery design. At the end of the course the students prepare a portfolio on an individual basis which comprises of various designs based on theme, concept and story. The students are evaluated on class work, home assignments, projects and portfolio.
Job opportunities:
After completing the course the student can work in the jewellery industry as Assistant Jewellery Designer or Jewellery Designer or can freelance.
Higher studies:
In case the student is interested he or she can join Advanced Design Course and gain depth in jewellery designing.
