Overview

Eligibility and course duration
The candidate should have the following qualification:
- 10+2 or an equivalent qualification
- Having undergone Certification in General Nursing and Midwifery. For male nurses, instead of in midwifery, the candidate should have undergone nursing training in any two of venereal diseases, psychiatry, tuberculosis, ophthalmic and operation theatre techniques. Candidates should be registered with State Nurses Register Council.
- Should have worked as a staff nurse in a hospital for 3 years. However, institutes may differ on the duration of experience required.
