By cooperatives we mean cooperative societies or groups that are run by two or more people as an autonomous organization. These are mostly run in rural areas and small towns to share economic and social benefits among the group members. They run for a small profit and in general benefit the whole population of that village or locality where it is located. Cooperatives function in a democratic way, with everyone's view taken in account before coming to an important decision regarding its functioning. More and more educated youth from the rural villages and small towns are taking to the cooperative business as it provides for assured business and employment. Many of the big time industrialists and MNCs too are taking a note of the business potential in such areas, thus giving a boost to the cooperative movement.
