From the production of printed circuit boards to high tech consumer electronics, you gain skills in a variety of production tasks. To begin with you learn the fundamental principles in electronics and their manufacturing processes. You learn processes such as soldering which are of different types. You learn about the various materials for soldering like solder, flux and the soldering iron itself. You learn the various soldering techniques and the placement process for mounting components on the printed circuit board. Depending upon the number of components to mount, the processes are manual or automated. You learn of the various standards and legislations that cover the manufacturing of electronic components.
