Introduction

Neuro O.T. means neuro Occupational Therapy. This therapy is generally applicable for kids who have attention problems. An occupational therapist helps in bringing back the attention span of a kid and improving his psychomotor skills. This therapy is also provided to adults. This therapy is meant for improving the cognitive skills of adults. So this course is just like physiotherapy. The only difference is that here you will heal the mental gaps of people. You will have to help people in regaining their intelligence and confidence. In this course you will learn to deal with both adults and kids. You will have to learn the psychology of both adults and kids. Sometimes you might have to work with toddlers whose attention span are very less. You will be trained to perform various exercises and yoga. You will have to teach those yoga skills to students for regaining their cognitive intelligence.

Eligibility Criteria

1. To be eligible for this course you must be holding a higher secondary degree.
2. The students must pass their plus twos in science stream. If you have passed 10+2 in any other stream, you are not eligible for this course. Preference is given to those students who had Biology or related science subjects in their higher secondary.
3. When you are applying for this course, you must be at least 17 years old. Otherwise, you are not eligible for this course.
4. You must also be physically fit. You have to either go through a physical examination that is predetermined by the institute where you wish to take admission or you will have to get a fit certificate from your house physician.

Future Job Prospects

• You can become an EEG or EMG technician after this course. Your job will be to maintain the records of the patient data and interact with the cardiac patients about their progress from time to time.
• You can become a child therapist. You will have to deal with kids having problems in paying attention to anything. You will have to monitor their progress. You will have to prescribe necessary exercises to these kids for improving their psychomotor skills.
• You can become an assistant physical therapist. You will have to train adults in doing exercises to improve their neural skills. After a few years of experience you can become a physical therapist.
• You can become a toddler trainer in preschools. Your job will be to gain the attention of the toddlers and train them.
