Course Description of M.S.(Pharm.)Medicinal Chemistry
The Course Master of Science in (Pharm.)Medicinal Chemistry is a regular two years program. It is designed to train graduates in pharmacology and prepare them for a career in the industry. The students are trained to equip with skills in drug design, its discovery and action. The course is comprehensive wherein students study in detail the synthesis of compounds and their mechanisms. Foucus of the study involves in learning the varied approaches of biochemical and biophysical aspects. The program is interdisciplinary with combined subjects of organic chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry and pharmacology.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed their degree course in pharmacology from a recognized university are eligible for the course. Candidates with BSC degree in biology/chemistry /engineering can opt for the course. They should have obtained 50% of aggregate marks in their qualifying examination. Those individuals working in pharmacology industry are eligible for the course. Students should have strong desire for conducting experiments and analytical bend of mind. Admission is through entrance test and personal interview.
