An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is expected to conduct inspections, make repairs, troubleshoot aircraft issues, and make upgrades to aircraft. AME also has to check the condition of the aircraft before the take-off and sign the Flight Releasing Certificate (FRC) so that the flights can take off.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This is a technical course. The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing Diploma AME course is a pass degree in Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 in Science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate marks of 50% from a recognized college or university.
  • Diploma holders with a minimum aggregate marks of 50% are also eligible to pursue this course.
  • Though the minimum marks criteria may vary from institute to institute. Candidates should also be physically and mentally fit for this course.
