About the course

Eligibility Criteria

The course acquaints students with concepts and applications of physical and chemical properties of oleo chemicals and surfactants in textile operations. Relationship between oleo chemicals and textile fibers are also explored. Oleo chemical derivatives are used in the industries such as wetting agents, softners, dyeing assistants, lubricants and cohesive agents among other things to lower the surface tension of a liquid and help in easy spreading. Candidates with a keen interest in textile industry, chemical industry and paint industry should opt for this course.

Admission procedure

Candidate must qualify the relevant entrance examination followed by group discussion. After qualifying for the second round, i.e. GD, candidates are required to go through personal interview as this is the final stage of admission process. The main entrance exam is JEE Main.

Internship options

At the end of every year in summer, students need to attend a summer internship program. It is a basic necessity to be fulfilled by enrolled students for the successful completion of their course and reception of their degrees. The internship needs to last for a minimum duration of six months which should be done from a reputed company or organization and in the relevant department. Stipend for the internship may differ according to different policies of the concerned companies. A few of them are paid and few are unpaid. Internships may also result in pre placement offers.
