About Master of Design Course
Master of Design (M.Des) is a two years postgraduate master degree in the field of Design which is divided into 4 semesters.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the M.Des course is to complete graduation in any design disciplines like Fashion, textiles, graphics, communication, accessories/ Bachelor of Design/ Bachelor of Architecture/ B.Sc. in textiles and clothing/ B.Tech Textiles/ B.A Fine Arts/ Design Diploma form a recognized university with minimum aggregate score of 50%.
Admission Procedure
Admission to the Master of Design course is done through the entrance examination CEED. Common Entrance Examination for Design CEED is an all India entrance examination conducted by the IIT, Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development MHRD, Development of Education, Government of India. In this test candidates drawing skills, design aptitude, visual perception ability, color sensitiveness and communication skills are tested. This test is conducted in the month of December every year, application process starts in the month of August and ends in the month of September. And results of this test will be announced in the month of January. After the results have been declared, personal interviews will be conducted.
