About Bachelor of Physiotherapy course

It is an undergraduate academic course in medical science field known as Physiotherapy. In this course, students learn to use physical agents like massage, exercise to provide treatment to those patients whose movement and functions are threatened by ageing, injury or disease.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The basic qualification for pursuing Bachelor of Physiotherapy course is a pass degree in 10+2 or Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate mark of 50% in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There are many colleges in India that provide physiotherapy courses.
  • To pursue course in Bachelor of Physiotherapy, candidates need to pass in CET (Common Entrance Test). Admission is merely based on the CET scores.
  • A candidate seeking admission to BPT course, he / she should be at least 17 years of age.

The duration of BPT course is 4 ½ years including internship of 6 months.

Admission procedure

The admission for BPT program depends on merit and also on the performance of the candidate in entrance test. The application form for admission to the BPT course can be downloaded directly from the institute's website or can be obtained from the institute's office by paying a requisite fee. The completed and duly filled in applications should be submitted at the institute's office on or before the last closing date. Applicants must ensure that the details provided in the application form must be correct and complete in all respects.

How to fill BPT entrance application form

Candidates are advised to fill the application form in their own handwriting. All the letters should be in capital and the form must be dully filled. If there is any incomplete or wrong information given, then it is very likely that the application form will get rejected. Candidate should attach recent photographs on their application form. Once the form reaches the institute's office, qualified applicants are sorted and they will receive a hall ticket for appearing in the exam. The institute / university are not responsible for any delay in postal service.
