Overview
The subjects economics, political science and public administration are very attractive ones for most students in the arts stream. The above undergraduate course focuses equally on all the subjects. You will be studying in depth each one of them, to get a good hold on all three. Through the subject of economics, you get to understand the various economic principles and measures applied in the production of goods, their distribution and consumption. The services industry too forms part of this study. In economics, one also learns about the micro and macro-economic principles that shape the economy at different levels. You will learn of the various economic policies followed throughout the world and advantages & disadvantages of each one of them.
By studying political science, you get to understand the type of government in the country and elsewhere. You learn about political activities, thoughts, parties and the systems. Politics has an important relevance with both economics and public administration and with subjects like law, sociology, history, anthropology, etc. By public administration, we understand the implementation of the policies and measures drawn by the political executive.
