About M.Tech Automotive Engineering
Master of Technology in Automotive Engineering is a 2 years post graduation course which is designed to enable graduates to specialize in the fields of Automotive System Design and Automotive Engineering. This course is more suitable to the candidates who are interested in designing, developing and manufacturing of automobiles.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the M.Tech Automotive Engineering course is to qualify in Bachelor's degree (B.E/ B.Tech) or AMIE or equivalent course in Automobile/ Manufacturing/ Industrial Production/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical from a recognized university with minimum aggregate score of 50%.
Admission Process

Most of the colleges/ institutes give admission to the M.Tech Automotive Engineering course based on candidate's performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE. Automotive Engineering is aimed to train students about designing, manufacturing, simulating, performance and durability testing and maintaining of automobile systems. Automobile engineers are responsible to develop automobile systems through simulation Software like MATLAB SIMULINK, ANSYS, STAR CCM, LAB VIEW, C, C++ and validate them with laboratory test results.
Some of the subjects covered in this course are Automotive Engine Design, Vehicle Performance and Transmission Design, Technology and Financial Management, Automotive Fuels and Emissions, Autotronics, Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics, Advanced Heat Transfer, Advanced Hydraulics and Pneumatic Systems, Automotive Safety and Regulations, Automobile Air Conditioning, Noise Vibrations and Harshness, Automotive Materials, Vehicle Aerodynamics, Finite Element Method, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Automotive Chassis Design.
Duration
Duration of the M.Tech in Automotive Engineering course is 2 years which is divided into 4 semesters. And each semester lasts for 6 months.
