About M.Tech Bioinformatics Course
Master of Technology in Bioinformatics is a two year postgraduate course which provides training in the areas like information technology, molecular biology, statistics and bioinformatics.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the M.Tech Bioinformatics course is to qualify in Bachelor's degree (B.E/ B.Tech) in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics from a recognized university with minimum aggregate score of 50%. Candidates with Master's degree in Mathematics/ Sciences/ Programming are also eligible to apply.

Generally admission procedure differ from one institute to another. Most of the institutes offer admission to the M.Tech Bioinformatics course based on candidate's performance in the GATE examination. Some reputed institute may conduct their own entrance test to offer admission.

Bioinformatics is a study of application of computer science and statistics to the field of molecular biology.
