About M.Tech Nuclear Technology Course
Master of technology in Nuclear Technology is a two years post graduate course which trains students about the concepts such as fusion, nuclear fusion, design processing, construction management of nuclear reactors and invention of nuclear materials. Nano technology is based on fundamental principles of mathematics and physics that describe transport of neutrons and gamma rays and also nuclear interactions.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the M.Tech Nuclear Technology Course is to qualify in B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Chemical/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering (or) B.Sc. Physics from a recognized university with minimum aggregate score of 60%.
Admission Procedure
Admission process may vary from institute to institute. Generally, most of the institutes offer admission to the M.Tech Nuclear Technology Course based on candidate's performance in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering GATE. Some reputed institutes/ colleges/ universities may conduct their own entrance examinations.

This course provides students an expertise in the theoretical and experimental studies of fusion and plasma physics, computer aided tomography, reactor safety guides, radioisotope applications in manufacturing engineering, heat transfer in nuclear sub systems and development of radiation detectors.
This course also includes the study of fusion interaction and maintenance of nuclear fission systems, nuclear reactors, nuclear power plants, fissile material and fission systems, nuclear war weapons, nuclear physics, computer programming simulations, plasma physics, nuclear engineering materials, fast breeder reactor, nuclear safety, nuclear proliferation, nuclear waste disposal and collection of nuclear fuel.
Duration
Duration of the M.Tech Nuclear Technology Course is 2 years which is divided into 4 equal semesters. Each semester lasts for about 6 months.
