Introduction
M.Tech or Master of Technology is a Post Graduation level degree course in the field of technology and science. It is available is different subjects and specializations and candidates can choose any of them as per their choice. Nuclear science and technology is one among them which deals with the study about various related subjects like nuclear plant design, atomic energy, nuclear energy, nuclear waste management, reactor operations and radiological applications.

Duration
The duration of this course is 2 years. These 2 years are divided into 4 equal parts known as semesters. Each semester is having 6 months duration and ends with a separate final examination. Candidates are supposed to clear each semester to qualify the degree successfully.
Eligibility
The course requires graduate candidates from the field of Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering who have studied chemical engineering, electronics and instrumentation engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering or any other related subject from a reputed institute. The minimum qualifying marks should be higher than 55% for most of the institutes.

For admissions, candidates need to fill and submit the applications before the last date of submission. These applications should be complete and must be enclosed with all other required documents like age proof, qualification certificates, etc.

After completion of this post graduation degree course, candidates interested in higher studies can go for Ph.D. or Doctor of philosophy is Nuclear science. It is a research-based course during which candidates get the opportunity to plan and execute their own experiments and research under the supervision of their guides.
