Eligibility Criteria

• For seeking admission to Diploma Medical Virology course, candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized institution that is approved by the MCI (Medical Council of India) or any other state medical council.
• Admission to this course is based on the performance of the candidates in admission test conducted either at the state level or at the national level.
• It is also essential that they should have completed their compulsory internship program immediately after M.B.B.S.

About Diploma Medical Virology

As mentioned earlier, National Institute of Virology shortly called as NIV, Pune is the only government medical institution in India offering this course and the Medical Council of India has approved the institution to admit four students per year for this course. This course is offered by the institution affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Science. Before the establishment of MUHS, the course was previously affiliated to Pune University. The students are normally admitted through Common Medical Entrance Test. In addition to offering this course, the institute is also engaged in other activities like:
