Eligibility and course duration

You are eligible for the course and the accreditation if you are at least 10+2 pass from a recognized board. English and mathematics are compulsory subjects. Graduates, chartered accountants and company secretaries too may apply.

There are 14 papers in all. With exams every six months and 4 papers in a session it takes a minimum of 2.5 years to complete the course.

Paper exemptions

Graduates and qualified company secretaries can have some exemptions in papers. The exemptions depend upon the syllabus that you have already covered in your past courses. There are two levels of exams. One is the fundamental level and the other is the professional level. The exemptions are given only in the papers of fundamental level. For claiming exemptions one has to mention their qualification details while applying and send the requisite documents. Chartered accountants can take a fast track route towards membership of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
