Introduction to the course
The postgraduate diploma in English Literature is a 1 year course. In most universities it is broken into 2 semesters. While semester 1 concentrates more upon coursework, semester 2 concentrates upon the dissertation to be prepared after the coursework. Generally the dissertation is related to the coursework that you have done in the earlier semester.
- You must have minimum 50% in your graduation to be eligible for admission in this course.
- You must be a graduate from a government affiliated institute.
- Some colleges make take a short 50 marks admission test on your vocabulary and knowledge in grammar. Some others might hold a group discussion and a subsequent personal interview to shortlist candidates. The institute will examine the English speaking and writing skills of a candidate.
- The minimum age to apply in this course is 20. There is no restriction on the maximum limit of age
