Introduction

If you have a master's degree in Gujarati Language and you want to contribute some novel information in this subject, then PhD. in Gujarati is an ideal course for you. Eligibility Criteria

1. The students opting for this course must have a master's degree. The degree could in Gujarati Language or Literature.
2. The students must get a minimum of 55% in the master's degree.
3. The students who fulfill the above criterion will be given the PhD. application forms. After that there are two ways of further shortlisting candidates. A candidate can possess a valid UGC or CSIR NET score in the junior research fellowship category. If the student possesses such a valid rank, then he or she will be directly called for the interview. Otherwise, the student is supposed to clear the entrance examination conducted by the university. If a student gets a minimum of 50% or more in the entrance examination, then he or she will be called for the interview.
4. Finally, a student will be called for an interview. If he or she gives a good presentation during the interview, then he or she will be a part of this course.

Future Job Prospects

1. Since you have a PhD. degree, you should apply for assistant professor positions in any arts college. You will have to teach Gujarati language and culture to the students.
2. After a few years of experience, you will be promoted as an assistant professor. After around 15 years of years in teaching, you will be promoted as a professor.
3. You can apply for research projects from abroad universities of a tenure of 4-5 years. You will have to analyze huge amounts of data in Gujarati language and publish comprehensive reports on them.
