About M.A Punjabi Course
Master of Arts in Punjabi is a two year post graduate course which makes students study and understand the roots of Punjabi. Through this course students gain knowledge on historical systems of different cultures and countries and socio-culture.
Minimum eligibility required to apply for admission to the Master of Arts in Punjabi course is to complete graduation degree with honors in Punjabi from a recognized university with minimum aggregate score of 50%. Some of the institute prefer candidates with graduation in Punjabi also.

Most of the colleges offer admission based on candidate's performance in the entrance examination conducted by the respective college/ institute/ university. Few colleges offer direct admission to this course based on the merit obtained at the level of graduation. Some of the subjects covered in the syllabus of the M.A Punjabi Course are adhunik punjabi kavita, adhunik punjabi galap, punjabi natak te ekangi, punjabi vaartak, punjabi lodhkara ate sabhichar, classical sidhant chintan da tulnatmak adhyan, punjabi sufi kaav, punjabi qissa, parvaasi punjabi sahit, bhasha vigyan, punjabi bhasha ate gurumukhi lipi, punjabi lokdhara ate lok sahit and interdisplinary courses.
Duration of Master of Arts in Punjabi course is 2 years, divided into four semesters. Time period of each semester lasts for 6 months.
