Introduction
M.Sc. is Master of Science- a post-graduate level degree course in the field of science. Being a Post Graduate course, candidates holding a graduate degree from a reputed and registered institute are eligible for this course. The acceptable degrees are B.D.S., M.B.B.S., B.U.M.S., B.V.S.C., B.H.M.S. etc. Candidates holding the graduation degree in Allied Sciences like B.M.L.T., B.Sc. in MIT/ MLT/ HIA/ Pharma, etc are also eligible for this course.
Graduates in Science, Biotechnology, Zoology, etc can also apply for admissions in this course in some institutes.
The minimum required marks and age requirement vary from one institute to another and it is advised to check the same from the selected institute before submitting the application.
Admission Procedure
Admissions are done through entrance tests in most of the reputed institutes. They shortlist the deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in the same. There are some institutes which are offering admissions on merit basis in which the marks obtained in graduation get considered.
Further Study options
After completion of this course, candidates can pursue Ph.D. in clinical research. Apart from that other related course are also available like D.M. in clinical hematology/ neonatology/ Endocrinology, D.N.B. in General medicine, Family medicine and many more.
