About the course
It is a post graduate course in Medicine. The course produces competent chest physician who identifies, diagnose and treat patients having chest complaints and carry out professional obligations in keeping with principles of professional ethics and National Health Policy. The candidates acquire the competencies pertaining to TB & Chest Medicine that is required to be practiced in the community and at all levels of health care system. No candidate should be permitted to run a clinic / laboratory / nursing home while pursuing M.D TB & Chest Medicine course.
- The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing M.D TB & Chest Medicine is a MBBS degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized medical institute.
- Some institutes conduct an entrance examination for admission to their post graduate degree in medicine.
The duration of M.D TB & Chest Medicine is 2 years and it may be more or less depending on the institute.
