Overview

Here in this course you will be introduced to the environment and the various laws and policies concerning it. You will be learning the legal frameworks and the processes under which these laws and policies have been formulated. You will be also learning of the various mechanisms to protect the environment. You will learn how environmentally safe measures could be introduced into a number of industries such as food processing, chemicals, leather, fertilizer, waste water treatment, sewage treatment, textiles mills, refineries, distilleries and so on. You will learn of the various international treaties, conventions and regulations that countries have agreed upon and how they are instrumental in safeguarding the environment from further harm. To help you with the learning process there will be assignments, workshops, project works and group discussion.
