Overview
Buddha Studies certification course is related to all the aspects related to Buddhism. The course covers the basic concepts and teachings, Buddhist history and culture, teachings related to spiritual and meditation texts. The course introduces religious traditions of Buddhism and information related to philosophy, culture, history of Buddhism religion.
Duration
The course is generally for one year, but some institutes offer a quick six months course too.
Eligibility criteria
Generally the criteria is 10+2 pass or matriculation pass or equivalent. But, there are a few institutes , which emphasize requirement of graduation or diploma in Buddha studies.

As part of the curriculum, you will not only be taught the basics concepts and teaching of Buddhism religion, but also advance aspects of historical Buddha, His teaching, history and culture of Buddhism religion. The course not only covers the introductory teachings, but also introduces advance spiritual and mediation texts. In addition, you will also be introduced with Asian Buddhist Traditions , influence of Buddhist thoughts around the globe, various aspects of Buddhism such as Zen Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism. You will also be taught about the psychological aspects and theories of Buddhism.
Career scope
After completion of the course, one may opt for higher studies in Buddha Studies. Or may seek job as a chaplains or post secondary teachers.
