Eligibility Criteria

1. First of all, the students applying for this course must complete BPT or Bachelor's in Physiotherapy. The students who have completed a degree that is deemed to be equivalent to BPT, can also for this course. Here two things are applicable-
   
   • The course must be completed from a reputed and recognized university.
   • The course must be deemed to be equivalent of BPT by UGC or other such popular governing body.
2. The students need to score a minimum of 50% in their graduation to be eligible.
3. From the list of students who match the previous criterion, a section is chosen for this course, based on their performance in the entrance examination. The entrance examination is locally conducted by the university in which you are applying for MPT. The top scorers of this test are called to take admission in the university.

Job Prospects

1. You can become a junior physiotherapist in a private nursing home or a training institute.
2. After a few years of experience, you will be promoted as the physiotherapy executive.
3. If you stay in this field for 10-12 years, in a hospital, then you can become a patient counselor or a hospital administrator. Many junior physiotherapists will report to you about the condition of the patients. You may also have to look after the hospital's book of accounts.
4. You can become an assistant professor of physiotherapy in a college. You will have to train the students to treat patients having cardio-respiratory problems.
5. You can become a research assistant in a project related to cardio-respiratory problems.
