Eligibility Criteria

  1. The students need to possess the degree of BPT prior to applying to this course. They must have completed BPT from a reputed or recognized institution.
  2. The students who wish to study this course must obtain a minimum of 50% in their graduation. There is a relaxation of 5% for students who belong to the reserved category, for example SC/ ST/ OBC.
  3. In most colleges the admission is done based on merit. But sometimes if the number of students applying for the course is much more than the number of vacancies, then and entrance examination is conducted. This examination is conducted by the university, where the student has taken the application form of M.P.T. The merit list comprises the top scorers in the entrance examination as well as in the BPT course.


Job Prospects

  1. You can become a cardiovascular technician. You will have to handle the machines that are used for checking the cardiovascular systems. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the apparatus. On a regular basis, you will record the data of the cardiac functionalities of the patients.
  2. You can also become an ecocardiographer or sonographer.
  3. After around 10 years of experience in this field, you can become a hospital administrator.
  4. You can become an assistant fitness trainer in any fitness institute. Your job will be to stay with the fitness trainer and monitor if the exercises prescribed by him or her is appropriate for the patients.
  5. You can become a research assistant in any government funded project related to cardiovascular systems.
