Introduction

Eligibility Criteria

1. The students must complete a BPT course before this MPT course. In fact, students who already possess an MPT degree and wish to study Community Physiotherapy are also allowed to study this course. It is advisable that the students who wish to study this course complete another M.P.T. with some specialization. This will provide you with a specialization related to medical field like Orthopedics or Cardio-respiratory, etc. After that you can further increase your knowledge in treatment of people from different communities, from this M.P.T course.
2. The cutoff score for completing graduation in Physiotherapy is 60%. Any student scoring below this cutoff will not be able to take the application form. The admission is generally on merit basis. No entrance examination is conducted to shortlist the students unless the number of applicants are huge.

Future Job Prospects

1. You can join as an osteopath in a hospital or a private nursing home. Your job will be to treat patients with the help of gentle massaging and touch. This kind of a treatment is highly required by people of the mountain community.
2. You can join an NGO or a non-governmental organization. You will be led by a team leader. Your job will be to go to different communities and treat them.
3. You can become an assistant professor of Physiotherapy. If you have dual M.P.T degree then you can teach multiple subjects in the college. After a few years of experience you can become an associate professor and the head of the department of Physiotherapy.
