Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria is passing of 10+2 exam from a recognized Board with PCM-Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidate needs to be below 25 years at the time of commencement of the course and should be medically fit.

Course Details:
This graduate program is a four year eight semester curriculum. The first year covers basic subjects like physics, maths, chemistry, engineering mechanics, thermodynamics and workshop. In the second and third year the branch related subjects are introduced namely material science, basic electrical engineering, welding technology, computer science, electronics, fluid mechanics, industrial and marine safety, fundamentals of naval architecture, ship production and shipyard management, vibration and noises, marine engineering and control system, engineering system design, marine engineering and control system The final year focuses on subjects pertaining to current trends and includes ship structure, hydrodynamics, ship resistance and types of propulsion, oceanography and ocean wave hydrodynamics, ship modeling, ship dynamics and sea keeping etc. along with project.

A naval graduate finds many job opportunities in the design construction and repair, operations, survey, oversee departments of ships, merchant ships, warships, cargo ships, cruise liners, fishing trawlers, yachts, marine vessels and off shore structures in both civil and military organizations.
