Further details of Associate Membership

If you pass the A.M.I.E.T.E. examination, then you will be eligible for joining IETE as an Associate Member in information technology department. But remember you will have to become a student member first. A student member of 1 year or above who has already cleared the A.M.I.E.T.E. examination is eligible to join IETE as an associate member. This membership could be of 3 years or 4 years.
You will get access to all the symposiums or workshops held by IETE or any other organization who works in its collaboration. The benefit of this is that you will get to interact with a lot of other organizations and the top level personnel there. So you will get to know about the job vacancies in such organizations and can apply for the same. You will be able to join as a research associate or technical assistant in any government funded projects.

Publication of Journals

Not only can you attend a symposium as a student, you can also be there as a participant. You will have to select an area in information technology which grabs your interest the most. Approach the teacher in your department who can guide you in the same. If you can come up with a good thesis you can publish papers in journals related to the field. You will also get discount on publishing papers, if you are an associate member of the organization. This will help you when you further continue your studies in M.Tech or Ph.D.
