Introduction to Civil Engineering
Civil engineering deals with the designing and constructing the buildings, construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, canals, dams and other structures. Their work also involves supervising the old and new buildings. Civil engineers work focuses on soil testing, movement of construction materials, equipments, machinery and resources to the site of construction. The civil engineers tasks involves designing the buildings, preparing the projects reports, using computers for drafting, analyzing and preparing the legal documents. They need to adhere to rules and regulations set by government, prepare and execute the works. Civil engineers need to be mobile to supervise the construction sites and assess the completion of works.

Eligibility Pass in X and XII class with science and mathematics and English as one of the subject in class X. The skills needed for this course is logical thinking, problem solving skills, ability to grasp the concepts, good communication to deal with the people and work force.

The course prepares the students for the changes in the techniques and technologies and provides a basis for employment.
