Production engineering pertains to the study of development, enhancement, implementation and assessment of integrated systems comprising of man, machine, money, information, material and process. A Master's course in Production will enable you to take up senior level positions in industry.
Course Details:
The Master's in Production engineering is a two-year course comprising of four semesters. The curriculum includes course work, practicals, seminars, project and maybe even an internship in the industry. The various subjects taught in the course include operations research, value engineering, financial management, materials management, statistical quality control, production planning and control. Typically most university curricula include one entire year for project work where the candidate is expected to apply the theory learnt to practice.
