Course introduction
Planning and Architecture is a field dedicated to study of Building Engineering, Housing, Industrial Design and other related things. It is vast subjects and have different sections including Architecture in Rural areas and urban areas. Candidates also learn about Landscape Architecture and transport planning.
For PhD, candidates need to select one specific topic to conduct the research. Initially they need to read the old available references and literature and then they start their own work.
Eligibility
Candidates holding a post-graduate degree in related field are eligible for this course. For some institute, candidates with Bachelor's Degree in allied disciplines from any recognized University with at least 55% aggregate are also eligible for this course if they have ten years experience in teaching/research / Professional practice.
Duration
PhD. is flexible in terms of duration but in most of the cases, it is completed in 3 years as regular course.

These candidates can work in construction companies, where they are working as designer or building. They can also work in Archaeological Department, Town and Country Planning Organization, Departments of Railways and other government firms with good salary packages.
They may need to work in connection with civil engineers to support the constructions of bridges, subways, etc.
Lastly, they can work independently in their own consultation office.
Course highlights
Thesis are the main part of this whole course and the work of any candidate is judged through his/her thesis and presentation only. Candidates are supposed to do research for initial 1-2 years and then they need to write their thesis.
At the end, they submit their thesis and give present and defend their research on a decided date.
