Overview
Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering is a postgraduate programme, in line with worldwide efforts to save the environment from further damage from man-made as well as natural causes. Environmental engineers study ways to combat the harmful effects of global warming, ozone layer depletion, vanishing forests, melting polar caps, diminishing glaciers, rising sea levels and the ever increasing threat of vehicular pollution. They focus on finding solutions in search of alternatives against the usage of harmful chemicals in industries as well as agriculture. Unrestricted use of chemicals, has resulted in toxins in the food and water we consume.
Eligibility and course duration
Should be an engineering graduate, preferably from environmental or civil branches. Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying exam. Some of the reputed institutes may conduct entrance exams.
The duration of the postgraduate degree is 2 years, split up into 4 semesters.
