Course introduction
M. Tech in Building Automation is a specialization which is combined form of networks which included both hardware and software. Candidates learn to control, and monitor the surrounding and environment of commercial facilities.
They learn about the management of facilities of various building systems and their operational performance. They also learn to take care of comfort and stay at any building.
Eligibility
Any graduate from similar technical field, that is B. Tech or BE are eligible for this course. The minimum qualifying mostly varies between 55-60% of graduation degree.
Admission Procedure
Being a technical field, all reputed institutes conduct an Entrance examination, that can be national leveled, state level or even institute level. Candidates need to appear in that examination and selected candidates after examination may get called for an interview.
Duration
It is a 2 year course which is equivalent to 4 semesters (each is having 6 months duration).
Further study options
M. Tech is usually considered as a high profile course after which one can get a good job with good salary package. But still there are some extraordinary candidates who wish to study further and research based course- PhD is meant for them. This can be pursued even after getting some work experience.

The course deals with the functionality of any building and manages its operation in all terms. It includes control of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems of any building. They teach about instruments included in automation like ventilation, Air-Handling Units, Box Cars, Rooftop HVAC Units, etc.
The course includes a short dissertation period during which all candidates are supposed to complete one small project at any company for the firm. It is to give them professional insight during their academics.
