In Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry, one studies the industrial applications of chemistry. The course is very suitable for those who have an analytical and scientific bent of mind. Eligibility and course duration

Pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Math. Admission to the course is mostly on the basis of marks in 10+2. Some colleges may require a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

Duration of the course is 3 years, split into 6 semesters.

While chemical engineering focuses more on the design and process engineering, industrial chemistry gives emphasis to aspects of chemistry and environmental topics. As an industrial chemist you learn to optimize chemical processes and finding solutions for issues such as environment, water treatment, pollution control, etc. In fields such as energy production and petrochemicals you learn to improve upon their efficiency.
