Course overview:
Production engineering is basically a branch which has offshooted from mechanical engineering and includes some parts of manufacturing and industrial engineering. A candidate opting for this PG course will learn technical, analytics and managerial skills which are critically needed for production in any industry. Course Details:
This PG course is covered in a span of two years and the curriculum encompasses class room sessions, practical labwork, assignments, seminars. The candidates spend one complete year in doing a project where they apply the skills learnt in the classroom. The curriculum includes subjects pertaining to machine processing, metal cutting, automation, die and mould design, casting, joining processes, material science, machine design and manufacturing, operations research, management techniques, production planning.
