Overview

Man since ages has involved himself in some or the other kind of trading activity. From bartering goods in the prehistoric times to trade in its present form, commerce is one of the most important economic activities for any society. A country's economic progress depends a lot upon the trade which it carries out with the outside world. But commerce is not only about trade and money; undergoing a commerce course also means learning how to run a business, how to manage a company, its finances and taxations. It is also about understanding how the stock market or export-import works. The arrival of e-commerce portals has added a new dimension to this field.
