Designing courses

Eligibility criteria and course durations

The basic qualification needed to enter this field is a pass in class 12th in any stream, preferably with more than 50% marks. However, some of the courses which are concerned with engineering design may necessitate a science background. Every institute may have its own admission criteria depending upon the course and its contents. Duration of the courses varies from course to course. Certificate courses range from few months to a year, whereas diploma and bachelors courses are of 3-4 years duration.

Designing is a field which is quite different from other regular ones. Here, more than academics, attributes like creativity, aptitude, attitude, personae play a decisive role in one's success in this field. A few such attributes for becoming a successful designer are:
