B.Ed. is an undergraduate course – Bachelor of Education. Earlier it was known as Bachelor of Training. This course is aimed to prepare candidates for teaching career, to make them professionally competent in their own field. The course also teaches about teaching methods to make the lesson interesting for students.

Eligibility
The minimum eligibility for this course is 3 years graduation degree. Candidates from any stream like B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com etc can apply for this course. The minimum qualifying marks many vary for every institute. The admission process will also be different and it may include entrance examination. In that case, candidates securing good marks in entrance examination will be shortlisted for interview.
Course Duration
Earlier it was having 1 year duration but now it has 2 years duration. Still there are some private centers which are offering this course for 1 year only.
