The minimum eligibility criteria is Passing of SSC exam, but HSC exam or graduation is preferred. It is mandatory that the candidate has completed Certificate Course in Basic Jewellery Design since that is the foundation for learning Advanced Jewellery Design.
The admission is based on merit, aptitude towards Jewellery design and batch schedule.
This course focuses on various components of commercial designing like interpreting and understanding briefs supported by design research and analysis of international and domestic markets. The course enables the candidate to direct the creativity and design activities towards a given brief.
This 100 hours rigorous design course covers various aspects of advanced concepts. The curriculum includes design, research and analysis of jewellery, budgeting and costing, research based designing for international market, 3 D design and development using isometric drawing, designing kundan and jadau jewellery. Once the candidate completes the course he or she is eligible to join the industry or start own consulting. The students are evaluated based on classwork, home assignments, projects and portfolio.
After competing the course the candidate can join the jewellery industry as a Jewellery Designer, Assistant Merchandiser, Assistant Product Development Executive or can work independently as a freelancer or as a consultant.
After internship or gaining design experience in the industry or in own setup The student can opt for Certificate Course in Jewellery Merchandising.
