To put emphasis on a particular word, we can try placing it first.




Sample Usage

Though he was upset, he decided to join them.
Upset though he was, he decided to join them. (Here the emphasis is on the word ‘upset')
As she was shocked, she could not utter a word.
Shocked as she was, she could not utter a word. (Here the emphasis is on the word ‘shocked'.)
The frightened bird flew up.
Up flew the frightened bird.
