Difference between 'accessory' and 'accession'

The word 'Accessory' usually refers to an article that is additional.

The word 'Accession' has two meanings. In one sense, it means an addition to some existing thing. The second sense means to reach a rank or position.


Sample Usage


eg 1. The accessories included in the manicure set were pretty good.

eg 2. The laptop manufacturer had attained the accession of becoming a top notch industrialist.
